not to sleep in the steps we take
to see where the heel lands,
the space around it
the bending below
the movement in space
duration and finitude considered
we exist only now, eternally
not to sleep in the steps we take
combining actions and intent
we anguish, vaguely
a refinement of the inner
quiet limbs, outer experience
in becoming, in stepping outward
we exist only now, eternally
let us always be anchored
to that which is moving-
to match certitude with doubt
to unveil and to hide
to rise and sink in our knowing,
not to sleep in the steps we take
but to experience the ground below
moving through movements
organic mass, the self:
what is understanding without doing?
where do we go without seeing?
we exist only now, eternally
